He considers himself to be a romantic and tries to give advice to Sorey, much to his chagrin since Sorey does not usually pick up on the advice because of his innocent nature. Likewise, when Lailah tells him his palm reading and predicts he will be having trouble with women, he states he does not mind if it is trouble with her. Personality-wise, Zaveid is quite the skirt-chaser, as he attempts to have Sorey help him peek on women in the sauna. After Dezel's passing, Zaveid takes up his hat to commemorate him. He wears black pants decorated with simple stripes similar to his tattoos and two silver gun holsters on his belt. He has a muscular build and does not wear a shirt, revealing white tattoos across his arms and torso, as well as an necklace made of beads, silver rings, and what appears to be strips of leather. Zaveid has long white hair that changes to green at the tips, orange eyes, and a tanned complexion. The outcome pleases Zaveid, seen by his words of relief. Because of his interference, the wyvern, originally a malak that had been turned into a wyvern by Melchior Mayvin, escaped. Later Zaveid stops Velvet and the rest of the group from killing one of the three wyverns in Lothringen. As he traveled, he came across Velvet Crowe and her companions a few times, many times ending up in a duel between them. Since then he also started his research into Siegfried. Aifread, however, was captured, but not before dropping his peculiar weapon Siegfried, letting Zaveid be its safekeeper from the Abbey. At some point he comes across exorcists who enslave his mind, but the pirate captain Van Aifread who happened to be nearby saved him. Zaveid starts his travels across Desolation in search of a way to revert his lover's transformation.

Desperate, Zaveid searches for a way to restore her while keeping his friends in the dark on Theodora's fate. After a while, the couple taught Theodora some recipes so she could cook on her own, but eventually, risking exposure to malevolence from kids who recently suffered trauma had taken its toll on her, and turned her into a white-horned dragon known as a Shenlong.
